Tracy Damestani is a woman on the move. Scarcely had she stepped down from the board of the European Casino Association than she was named an industry ambassador for ICE London. Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for Ambassadeurs Group, Damestani has also long been an advocate for responsible gaming. She’s been attending ICE since back in its Earls Court days, in 2003, so her new posting returns her to familiar territory.

Defying adversity, Century Casinos is firmly on the comeback trail from the Coronavirus pandemic. It recorded its best-ever quarter this spring, even without a full repertory of operational casinos, thanks to health-related closures in Canada and Poland. Can you provide details on the measures the ECA has taken to assist its members during Covid crisis?
Unquestionably, the Covid crisis found us all unprepared. Faced with such an unpredictable situation, no one initially knew how to deal with a precarious present and an uncertain future, with the only certainty that the crisis would harshly impact the licensed land-based casino industry. In response, we mustered the full resources of the association and its members.
